Ameren Illinois Energy Savings

Ameren Illinois has partnered with Illinois libraries to help you plug into energy savings. Ameren Illinois has donated WATT solution kits with Kill A Watt EZ power meters. Mascoutah was the recipient of two power meters and kits. The kits have been barcoded and can be checked out by library patrons along with easy instructions. Using the kit can show a patron how much it costs to leave various appliances, computers, etc. on in their homes. A consumer simply plugs the power meter into any 110 volt outlet in their home and then can plug in an appliance or device and the meter shows the electrical usuage by killowat-hour.
